The RA Prime-Minister’s “Best Woman Entrepreneur 2016” annual award ceremony undertaken by the SME DNC of Armenia took place today. A number of businesswomen from Yerevan and regions of Armenia, representing different business areas, were nominated and awarded during the ceremony.
This year as well the EBRD BSO particpated at the ceremony and awarded two businesswomen.
On June 24, at the conference hall of the Ministry of Economy the EBRD Business Support Office held a meeting-discussion “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship within the framework of public-private dialogue”.

During the press conference with journalists on the challenges of the Armenian economy and the issues of SME sector in Armenia and their economic development the Head of BSO Gevorg Poghosyan commented on cutoms procedures, incompetitive terms for SMEs and monopoly as the main obstacle for the sector development.
Among other speakers were the representative of the Ministry of Economy and the president of SME Cooperation Association.
