Roundtable discussion on SME development

The EBRD Business Support Office in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy held a meeting at the SMEDNC on SME development with participation of businessmen and representatives of the State Revenue Committee.

In course of the meeting the businessmen presented different issues they face in their business activities, related to new generation cash control machines, importing goods, etc.

The meeting was a favourable opportunity  for the businesses to raise and discuss their problems with SRC officials.

IRCC tenth meeting took place

Charied by the Prime Minister, the IRCC tenth meeting took place at the RA Government.

The risk-based inspection methodology and checklists of State inspectorate of Urban Development  under the Staff of the RA Ministry of Urban Development were introduced.

The meeting was concluded with approval of four checklists of the State Inspectorate of Market Surveillance under the Staff of the RA Ministry of Economy and twelve checklists of the State Healthcare Inspectorate of the RA Ministry of Healthcare.

Another meeting of NGOs supporting SMEs took place

The Business Support Office continues its tradition of organizing  regular round-table meetings of NGOs and business associations. Another meeting aimed at addressing the current issues of SMEs was held in the Yerevan Chamber of Commerce. Representatives of more than 10 private sector organizations, such as the Business Advocacy Network, “Taxpayers’ rights protection” NGO, Union of merchants of Armenia, etc. attended the meeting and were very active in expressing their opinion on the current problems of businesses.

The EBRD-Armenia cooperation is successful and promising

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development  has appointed Mark Davis as the new head of the Yerevan Resident Office.
